- Multiple sessions are normal for microblading procedures
- We STRONGLY recommend a revisit within 4-6 weeks of the initial microblading process.
- We do not consider your microblading process complete until you come for a revisit.
- Revisits are recommended annually
Remember: Micropigmentation is a process.
Two or three sessions may be required to achieve the desired results.
It is not uncommon to lose up to 70% of the color after the first session.
The solution for the time poor, those sick of drawing their brows on daily, have an active lifestyle or just simply want to look their best everyday with no effort. Unlike the harsh block brow tattoo of the past, Microblading is an extremely precise art of cosmetic procedures. The colour and shape is individually customised to every guest, perfect for both dark or fair hair & depending on your needs, the brows can be softly defined or completely remodelled.

We offer several different options of eyebrow pigmentation lasting from several months to several years.(Microblading vs. traditional micropigmentation). We offer hair strokes, hair strokes with shading and fully shaded brows. Your specialist will discuss the best options for you depending on your skin type, lifestyle, desired results and desired maintenance. Rest assured, we use the best tools and the best pigments in the industry.
WHAT IS POWDER BROWS?
Powder Brows is also semi-permanent makeup, but it's a totally different technique from Microblading.
The Powder Brow technique punctures (scratching) the skin with a needle in order to deposit the color. And the finished look is a 'powdered brow,' like you have used a pencil to fill it in, rather than individual hair strokes.
Powder brows give you a penciled-in look, versus microblading that looks more like hair strokes.
The peculiarity of powder coating is that eyebrows look neat, volumetric and natural.
The technique is intended for women with light skin tones and not very dark hair, but also is quite suitable for dark-haired girls, brunettes and brown-haired.
I’m going to answer some common questions:
How long does it last?
The color will soften/fade over time, usually 1-2 years depending on the person.
It is recommended to get color boosts to freshen up the permanent makeup every 1/2 years or as needed.
Is it painful?
You will be very pleasantly surprise that it does not hurt!
You would expected that it would, but we treat you with a topical anesthetic cream to numb you before the procedure.
How long does it take to heal?
Healing time varies from person to person.
The treated area will begin to soften/lighten up within 3-30 days and it is recommended to have your follow up appointment 6 weeks after the initial appointment.
90% of my girls don't need a revisit appointment.
The color does fade as it heals.
Here is the before and after care instructions that recommended to follow to insure proper healing.
Do not workout the day of the procedure.
No sun exposure or spray tanning for 2 weeks prior.
Ideally, do not take Aspirin, Baby Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Ibuprofen 48 hours before the procedure and Fish Oil 2 weeks prior to the procedure.
No coffee or alcohol for 48 hours prior to the procedure.
No workouts for 7 days post procedure.
No saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pools for 2 weeks.
Avoid smoke, dust, dirt, and debris for 7 days.
No sun exposure on your eyebrows for 4 weeks.
No tinting, chemical peels, dermabrasion, laser, or botox for 3 weeks.
No makeup or cosmetics on treated area for 10 days.
As the area heals, a light pigment film will form after 4-7 days. It will become dry and itchy.
DO NOT peel or flake off any of the areas that are peeling.
I provide an aftercare cream that you apply ones at night time daily, and oil removal paper to remove the fluid.
WHAT IS EYEBROW MICROBLADING?
AND WHY IS EVERYONE GETTING IT DONE?
Microblading originated in Asia and is also known as brow embroidery. It is a fantastic treatment for anyone looking to improve or enhance the appearance of their eyebrows.
Luba creates hair strokes with pigment with a hand held disposable sterile blade...Putting the finest hairs back into eyebrows with pigment to provide the finest definition and dimension possible. Controlling the shape and symmetry of the brows better than ever before. For the most understated, natural looking, completely corrective enhancement to your brows.
WHO IS MICROBLADING SUITABLE FOR ?
This amazing brow service suits people who ideally have the wrong brow shape, over plucked, loss of hair/patchy areas that won't grow back. Microblading is done using a very fine disposable blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis. More superficial than tattooing and impacting color closer to the top skin surface strokes appear and remain crisp and extremely fine natural looking hair strokes or powder effect is achieved. Think of it as a cosmetic procedure for the brow!
The initial procedure takes around 2 hours and can last up to 18 months depending on skin type. (Regular touch-up's recommended)
People suffering from alopecia, chemotherapy or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from microblading, as well as people who simply are not happy with their eyebrow shape. Microblading may not be a suitable procedure if your skin produces a high amount of natural oils
WHO IS NOT IDEAL FOR THIS PROCEDURE?
Someone with large pores on their forehead.
Someone with very dark existing permanent makeup.
Someone with severely oily skin. ( Pigment will look more solid than like hair strokes and may not last as long)
Someone who works out daily and sweats a lot.
Diabetes type 1 or 2 ( Prone to slow healing and infection, color may or may not retain well)
Have Thyroid/graves disease ( Medication may cause pigment to not retain properly)
If you are pregnant or nursing. ( No service, no exceptions.) You cannot have this treatment done if you are pregnant or breast-feeding due to the numbing and possible stress during the procedure or breast feeding. It is your responsibility to inform the technician PRIOR to starting the procedure if you are Pregnant or breast feeding.
*Sometimes retention with the above contraindications is still possible. Everyones skin is different and retains different. Color retention is very different as well. This is an ART not a science. No specific results can be guaranteed.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
It is a semi-permanent amazing brow procedure that lasts up to 18th months! (6 to 8 month touch-up would be ideal) Semi-Permanent make up is an ART not a science. Client results will vary. Even though it is effective and lasts up to a year in most cases, no guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit from the procedure. Everyones skin is different, it is very important that each client understands that I can create perfect, gorgeous brows but ultimately it is up to your skin to retain my semi-permanent cosmetic service. Generally the results are amazing but it very much depends on your own skin type, texture and oiliness. Microblading heals about 30% to 70% lighter. This is a very natural corrective service.... **** IF you have darker hair please note this service will heal lighter than your natural hair color. It will seem like you need a touch up when you may not. It does not eliminate the need for brow powder...... I am giving you a template! No guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit the same as another from this procedure. Fading and undesirable scabbing can occur.
WILL I STILL HAVE TO WAX OR PLUCK NEW GROWTH?
Yes. While I cannot control your new growth coming back, I have now given you an amazing new template to make your maintenance much easier!
HOW LONG DOES A MICROBLADING TREATMENT TAKE?
The initial procedure takes approximately 1/2 hours. During this time a consultation is done where we discuss your desired brow look, choose a colour tone and draw the initial outline of the procedure area for your approval. Though our faces are NOT perfectly symmetrical (one side is usually flatter than the other), our goal is to create as much symmetry as possible! As we like to say BROWS ARE SISTERS, NOT TWINS. Once you are satisfied with the basic shape and symmetry, we numb it and create beautiful hair looking strokes with a manual hand tool.
*We strongly advise to book your first Microblading appointment at least 1-2 months in advance of Vacation, Weddings and special occasions. This allows adequate time for healing of both your initial microblading appointment as well as a touch up appointment 4-6 week after.
IS MICROBLADING PAINFUL?
The level of discomfort is relatively minor. Some like it to tweezing two to three hairs at the same time. Usually a topical anesthetic is used to numb the area being worked. Topical anesthetics are safe and may contain lidocaine, tetracaine and epinephrine.
Redness and slight swelling in the area is common after the procedure. Often clients liken the feeling to a slight sunburn. Frequently Tylenol is used to deaden any discomfort.
WILL MY MICROBLADED BROWS LOOK FAKE?
NO! Semi-Permanent makeup is done using a cosmetic tattooing process and our eyebrow pigmentation unique artistry guarantees soft, natural looking eyebrows. When we implant semi-permanent makeup pigment in the skin, it appears more natural looking than topically applied cosmetics.
IS THERE ANY DOWN TIME AFTER PROCEDURE? DO I NEED TO TAKE OFF WORK?
No, Directly after procedure you are free to resume your day - with fabulous brows of course! Just keep up with your post care instructions!
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE ANY HAIR?
Don't worry microblading is still for YOU! If anything it was created for you! This is what its all about, creating a perfect shape to enhance appearance!
WHAT NOT TO DO?
We are asking you on the first day of your treatment to take a bathe rather shower. Next day you may shower or bathe normally but avoid getting any harsh soaps, shampoos or water on them as this can be detrimental to the bonding process that must take place for the pigment to stabilize in the dermis. DO NOT pick or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness; let the skin fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring and premature loss of pigment. IMPORTANT: Once the flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely cover the hair strokes. It may appear as though the tattooed area has completely disappeared. This is just new skin forming. Within 1-2 weeks, the hair strokes will slowly reappear at a lighter shade as your skin regenerates.
WHAT NOT TO USE?
DO NOT use Vaseline, Neosporin or other petroleum based product while healing.
DO NOT apply any anti-acne products (e.g. Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, Proactive, etc.) or lightening creams (skin bleaching creams) such as hydroquinone to the treated area while healing. No anti-aging products or facial products containing Alpha Hydroxyls (AHAs), Retin-A, Lactic or Glycolic Acids.
DO NOT soak your face under water in a bathtub or allow the shower spray directly in your face for two weeks.
No Sun exposure, swimming pools, jacuzzis, saunas or other bodies of water for two weeks.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?
After the first session, the initial healing process will take 7-11 days. Then your brows will go through a cycle of natural exfoliation. Immediately following your procedure, the microbladed area will appear to be darker and bolder in color, more sharply defined or even a more filled in appearance (we call them your evening make up eyebrows). This can last up to a week after the treatment while the initial healing process takes place. The treated area may feel a bit like sunburn afterwards but there should be minimal discomfort and minimal redness. During the initial healing period, there may be scabbing, flaking or peeling of the skin. When that happens, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off in its own. This is very important! If scabs come off prematurely, the pigment will come out with it! The complete healing process take about 4-6 weeks, at which time the true color of the tattoo is evident. During this process, your tattoo will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating.
Once the brows healed, you are a free bird! You will have a set of perfectly natural hair looking brows that will last from a year to a year and a half. After that period, you can come back for retouch and refresh the color. No one, even your friends or family will know.
Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, we recommend applying sunscreen daily on the treated area. Wear large sunglasses and a hat for further protection. Rinse and dry the area thoroughly when in contact with chlorine.
Glycolic acid, microdermabrasion, chemical face peel products and laser treatments must be kept away from the tattooed area as continued use could lighten or discolor the pigment.
If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician. Continue at your own discretion. Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolor the tattooed area.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I NEED A TOUCH UP?
The best results generally come from a two step process. Touch ups allow us to analyze how the color regenerates beneath the skin and add in areas that may have healed incorrectly. Healed results are unique to each client and we do our best to create a consistent experience. Touch ups are beneficial for color restoration, shape correction, and/or any fine tuning the client desires and are highly recommended.
THIS IS TWO STEP PROCESS. BROWS LOOK REALLY FINISHED AFTER THE 2ND APPOINTMENT.
The second stage of the treatment is a TOUCH_UP appointment. Touch ups are done no earlier than 4 weeks of your initial procedure and approximately within 10 weeks. It is IMPERATIVE you complete the touch up treatment. Without it, the results will not be optimal. Colour will fade significantly within 4 weeks as the skin heals, peels and fades. The touch up corrects any irregularities in the healed microbladed hair strokes, color tone and finishes the process.
** Occasionally a third touch up (4-6 weeks later) is necessary for certain clients where the pigment does not take as well to the skin.
