WHY I STOPPED DOING MICROBLADING
With over 20 years in business, I'm always wanting to learn and implement the latest technologies and newest ways to bring beauty to my clients.
Well, after having done over 9,800+ eyebrows, I've finally found a process that makes the "LOOK" of Microbladed brows... accessible to everyone.
If you've been reading my email newsletter for sometime you've probably read the email where I talked about the limitations that Microblading has. There are certain skin types that can't have microbladed brows with lasting results.
Here's the Problem:
Everybody loves the naturally fuller and defined perfect look that Microbading gives. But, who wants it if it only looks good on the day it's done and then quickly vanishes? And for clients with oily skin or larger pores, their microbladed brows never last as long as other skin types.
I'm very excited to share this fantastic technique I've been using, that makes the "look " of the Microbladed brow available to all skin types and to people with larger pores. And EVEN BETTER, the results are long-lasting for people with oily skin... which is a huge breakthrough in Permanent Makeup applications. We're able to do 2 different applications, which allow the first application of the Powder Brows to heal and the second application of the Hairstrokes to blend smoothly into a flawless set of eyebrows!
Also know as our signature Amazing Brows Technique.
It's Powder Brows that look full but at the same time absolutely natural.
This technique is highly recommended before you do hair strokes. It will add fullness and definition to your eyebrows and it will help your eyebrows last longer.
How long they last will depend on your lifestyle and skin type. It could be up to 6 months to 2 years.
Try to protect your eyebrows from the sun, Retinol & "Vitamin A" skin care products.
And of course, remember that, stress plays a big role in how our bodies heal and carry pigments. Remember to do what makes you happy, daily, so your eyebrows last you longer!
P.S. Because we don't know how your body will accept the pigment, it is always recommended to do a second session, just to add more definition and fullness.
NANO HAIR STROKES
After the Powder Brows are healed, you have two options:
Add more definition with the Powder technique
The Nano Machine Hairlooking Strokes.
The Nano services allow you to have fully saturated hair stokes with better retention, less trauma to the skin, and it provides you with a smoother healing process.
Nano machine strokes apply the pigment to the skin without cutting into it.
As a result, the nano machine strokes last longer because the device is able to implant more pigment into each hair stroke.
This technique will imitate hair and will make your eyebrows look like you have real eyebrow hair.
This is recommended for someone who doesn't have much eyebrow hair.
Make sure to stay relaxed before and after your treatment.
Being stressed can cause your body to resist the pigment, possibly needing more sessions.
Some people even sleep during the procedure, but if you're sensitive to pain, consider taking pain relievers like Aleve or Tylenol.
Engage in stress-free, enjoyable activities to help.
Trust me, it really makes a difference.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU DO EYEBROWS?
STEP 1: You will be asked to fill out a consent form at our studio.
STEP 2: Some BEFORE pictures will be taken (you can also show a picture of your favorite brows).
STEP 3: We will measure and design the perfect shape for your face. One that makes you look younger and even more beautiful.
STEP 4: Your eyebrow area will be numbed, to minimize discomfort.
STEP 5: The magic will be done on your eyebrows.
STEP 6: The AFTER picture will be taken.
HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT TAKE?
The initial procedure takes approximately 1-2 hours.
During this time a consultation is done where we discuss your desired brow look, choose a color tone and draw the initial outline of the procedure area for your approval.
Though our faces are NOT perfectly symmetrical (one side is usually flatter than the other), our goal is to create as much symmetry as possible!
As we like to say, BROWS ARE SISTERS, NOT TWINS
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING HEALING TIME?
DAY 1: Your eyebrows will look much darker initially than they would after they heal. I call them "Evening Makeup Eyebrows". It's like when you're going out on the town and you do a more dramatic makeup look.
DAY 2: For the next few days, the scabs will form and your eyebrows will start pealing. Remember, it is very important to keep them as dry as possible. The less you touch your eyebrows, the better they will heal. Staying happy and positive will help in this healing process.
DAY 10: Around this time(in most cases), scabs will be gone and it will look like theres nothing there. This is a normal stage during the healing process. We don't use a tattoo ink. Instead we use ink that is made specifically for the face. Some people don't scab at all! If you're stressed, your eyebrows will take longer to heal.
DAY 30: By this time, your skin will be healed and you'll be seeing the final color of your eyebrows. It is normal to have spaces where ink didn't stay. You must come for a revisit session to complete your treatment.
IS PERMANENT MAKEUP IS PAINFUL?
The level of discomfort is relatively minor. Some like it to tweezing two to three hairs at the same time. Usually a topical anesthetic is used to numb the area being worked. Topical anesthetics are safe and may contain lidocaine, tetracaine and epinephrine.
Redness and slight swelling in the area is common after the procedure. Often clients liken the feeling to a slight sunburn. Frequently Tylenol is used to deaden any discomfort.
WILL MY PERMANENT BROWS LOOK FAKE?
NO! Semi-Permanent makeup is done using a cosmetic tattooing process and our eyebrow pigmentation unique artistry guarantees soft, natural looking eyebrows. When we implant semi-permanent makeup pigment in the skin, it appears more natural looking than topically applied cosmetics.
IS THERE ANY DOWN TIME AFTER PROCEDURE? DO I NEED TO TAKE OFF WORK?
No, Directly after procedure you are free to resume your day - with fabulous brows of course! Just keep up with your post care instructions!
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE ANY HAIR?
Don't worry PERMANENT MAKEUP is still for YOU! If anything it was created for you! This is what its all about, creating a perfect shape to enhance appearance!
WHAT NOT TO DO?
We are asking you to take a bath rather than a shower the day of your treatment. The following day, you may shower normally. (We will give you a protection shield) However, you should avoid getting any harsh soaps or shampoos on them as this can be detrimental to the bonding process. DO NOT pick or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness; let the skin fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring and premature loss of pigment. IMPORTANT: Once the flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healed skin will appear, making it look like nothing is there. This is just new skin forming. Within 2-4 weeks and as your skin regenerates, color will slowly reappear, at a lighter shade.
WHAT NOT TO USE?
DO NOT use Vaseline, Neosporin or other petroleum based product while healing.
DO NOT apply any anti-acne products (e.g. Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, Proactive, etc.) or lightening creams (skin bleaching creams) such as hydroquinone to the treated area while healing. No anti-aging products or facial products containing Alpha Hydroxyls (AHAs), Retin-A, Lactic or Glycolic Acids.
DO NOT soak your face under water in a bathtub or allow the shower spray directly in your face for two weeks.
No Sun exposure, swimming pools, jacuzzis, saunas or other bodies of water for two weeks.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?
After the first session, the initial healing process will take 7-14 days. Then your brows will go through a cycle of natural exfoliation. Immediately following your procedure, permanent makeup area will appear to be darker and bolder in color, more sharply defined or even a more filled in appearance (we call them your evening make up eyebrows). This can last up to a week after the treatment while the initial healing process takes place. The treated area may feel a bit like sunburn afterwards but there should be minimal discomfort and minimal redness. During the initial healing period, there may be scabbing, flaking or peeling-of the skin. When that happens, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off in its own. This is very important! If scabs come off prematurely, the pigment will come out with it! The complete healing process take about 4-6 weeks, at which time the true color of the tattoo is evident. During this process, your tattoo will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating.
Once the brows healed, you are a free bird! You will have a set of perfectly natural hair looking brows that will last from a year to a year and a half. After that period, you can come back for retouch and refresh the color. No one, even your friends or family will know.
Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, we recommend applying sunscreen daily on the treated area. Wear large sunglasses and a hat for further protection. Rinse and dry the area thoroughly when in contact with chlorine.
Glycolic acid, microdermabrasion, chemical face peel products and laser treatments must be kept away from the tattooed area as continued use could lighten or discolor the pigment.
If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician. Continue at your own discretion. Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolor the tattooed area.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I NEED A TOUCH UP?
The best results generally come from a two step process. Touch ups allow us to analyze how the color regenerates beneath the skin and add in areas that may have healed incorrectly. Healed results are unique to each client and we do our best to create a consistent experience. Touch ups are beneficial for color restoration, shape correction, and/or any fine tuning the client desires and are highly recommended.
THIS IS A TWO STEP PROCESS. BROWS REALLY LOOK FINISHED AFTER THE 2ND APPOINTMENT.
